2012 Year Long Project: Joined by a River by Cindy Weinberger
We will be stitching a piece this year entitled, Joined by a River, which can be framed or finished as a bell pull. This is an original work designed by Cindy Weinberger (with a little help from Marla Johnson and Angie Shuh). At the January meeting, you will be given your fabric and instructions for basting and beginning the piece. We hope you’ll enjoy working on this, and we’ll be giving you plenty of time to keep up and catch up as the year goes by.
2012 UFO Challenge
Bring 2 unfinished projects to a meeting; be prepared to talk about the projects - why do you like them, why do you want to finish them, and why haven't you finished them, etc. The members present will vote on which project they would like to see you finish by the holiday party in December. You pay $10 up front. If the project is finished by the holiday party, you get your $10 back. Funds collected will go into a scholarship fund with $50 seed money from the MRVC. A name will be drawn from the list of those who participated, the total fund to be applied to the winner's seminar/workshop of choice.
